On July 28, one of our students, Gaia Iacono, graduated with a thesis on the distribution and habitat use of bottlenose dolphins Tursiops truncatus in the waters of Ischia.
Gaia's thesis in the Animal Protection and Welfare degree program at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Teramo, was awarded the highest marks by the committee. The thesis, which analyzed data collected by our association during the period 2004-2018, contains important indications for the conservation of the species and management suggestions for the Kingdom of Neptune Marine Protected Area.
