Congratulations to Alessandra Gigliotti, a biology student at the Federico II University of Naples, who recently graduated with a thesis in bioacoustics entitled "Analysis of bottlenose dolphin signatures in the Gulf of Naples: a first catalog and comparison with the literature."
This study analyzed the signatures emitted by a group of bottlenose dolphins sighted between Ischia and Ventotene in the Mediterranean Sea. Eleven distinct signature types were identified. The data were collected by Oceanomare Delphis in 2015 and 2016.
We thank the supervisor Gianluca Polese and all the co-supervisors: Livio Favaro, Anna Zanoli, Barbara Mussi, Anna di Cosmo, and Marco Bonato.
Brava Alessandra!
