{"id":3874,"date":"2022-09-29T13:36:14","date_gmt":"2022-09-29T13:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/delphis.cetacei.org\/?p=3874"},"modified":"2023-03-05T10:47:11","modified_gmt":"2023-03-05T10:47:11","slug":"new-mmo-pam-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oceanomaredelphis.org\/en\/new-mmo-pam-project\/","title":{"rendered":"New MMO\/PAM Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-cdc27a4\" data-block-id=\"cdc27a4\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">A new MMO (Marine Mammal Observer) and PAM (Passive acoustic Monitoring) project starts in the next few days and will have our operators engaged until the end of 2022.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-d181c2d\" data-block-id=\"d181c2d\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text translation-block\">The project will see us engaged in marine mammal monitoring for the East Lot of the \"Thyrrenian Link\" (waters of Campania, Calabria, and Sicily)\" supported by Next Geosolutions and Shelter. <br>The project involves visual and acoustic monitoring of cetaceans on board the NG Worker, an Offshore Supply Ship built in 2009, and flying the Italian flag.<br>Acoustic monitoring is carried out with a static hydrophone, and sampling is done at regular intervals.
