Oceanomare Delphis naturalistic camps study cetaceans in the central Tyrrhenian Sea (Italy), and research expeditions are supported through the participation of volunteers. The fee paid to participate in the camps is entirely used to cover project expenses. Your contribution helps us sustain our study and conservation activities.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block-heading--v2 stk-block stk-cb54c00\" id=\"whale-watching-e-supporto-alla-conservazione\" data-block-id=\"cb54c00\"><h2 class=\"stk-block-heading__text stk-block-heading--use-theme-margins\">Whale-watching and support to the conservation<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-87d03d3\" data-block-id=\"87d03d3\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">Identifying cetaceans' critical areas is the main aim of the project. Key zones can be feeding or breeding grounds, as well as preferred routes used by the animals in the Mediterranean Sea. The identified areas are brought to the attention of policymakers and leaders, suggesting methods for their protection and management. The study area represents a unique opportunity to study cetaceans because seven different Mediterranean species have been recorded there since 1991.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div The coordination of the group is necessary for data collection and the progress of the sighting. With the trust of volunteers and a deep understanding of the environment, researchers conduct lessons on cetacean behavior and biology and discuss conservation issues with volunteers. Participants are introduced to the project through presentations of the study area and the species present. In addition to learning more about dolphins and their world and coming into direct contact with the world of research and animal conservation, it is also possible to have enjoyable human experiences.
