Since 2020, she has taken part in the research campaign annually, first as an assistant and then as a researcher, aboard Jean Gab.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-5e5a557\" data-block-id=\"5e5a557\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">Flavia holds degrees in Natural Sciences and Neurobiology, with a focus on animal cognition and bioacoustics.<br>She has research experience purely with parrots in the laboratory (University of Vienna and Max Planck Institute) and cetaceans in the field.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-ecca695\" data-block-id=\"ecca695\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">She has done monitoring in Italy aboard boats and ferries but also in Iceland, in Husav\u00eck, aboard whale watching boats, working on photo identification catalogs of many species, and analyzing data on acoustic interaction of anthropogenic sounds (seismic blasts) and blue whale vocalizations in Skj\u00e1lfandi Bay.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-f0822a0\" data-block-id=\"f0822a0\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">She is currently working with other researchers on the team on the sperm whale acoustics and social channel management research project.<\/p><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Flavia Grenga Flavia Grenga, originaria di Roma ma spesso errante, fa parte del nostro equipaggio dal 2019.Collabora inizialmente al progetto Delfini Capitolini sulle coste del litorale romano nel monitoraggio di alcune popolazioni residenti di tursiopi.
